The CMP Venice Night Trail will take place in the city center of Venice through its calli (the typical street), 16K up and down 51 bridges between the mystery and charm of Venice by night.

Registration

The event is open to all athletes being at least 16. The race is open to everybody, included fans of fitwalking and nordic walking.
Each athlete is free to complete the course going at the pace which suits him better, accordingly to his physical preparation.
With the registration each participant declares to be in a healthy condition to take part in the race. With this form the athlete exonerates the organization from any liability, civil or penal, in case of accident during his/her participation in the race.

Venicemarathon S.S.D. a r.l. can activate, whenever it wants, every promotion on the entry fee of the race.
Processing fees are in addition to the entry fee when athletes register for the event paying online.

Bib pick-up
The Race Kit consists of a race number (bib) with a timing device and a race pack. The bib number can be picked up at the Venice Running Village in Venice Tronchetto - Cruise Terminal - on Saturday 6th from 10am to 7pm.
How to get to the Venice Running Village – Venezia Tronchetto
If you reach the start line by car

From turnpike A13 direction “Bologna to Padova”:
– Go ahead the tollgate ‘Padova Zona Industriale’ and follow the road signals to Venezia A57
– After the tollgate “Mestre – Villabona” (Venezia-Mestre) take the first exit on your right immediately and follow the road signals to Venezia.

From turnpike A4 direction “Milano to Trieste”:
– Go ahead the tollgate ‘Padova Est’ and follow the road signals to Venezia A57
– After the tollgate “Mestre – Villabona” (Venezia-Mestre) take the first exit on your right immediately and follow the road signals to Venezia.

From turnpike A4 direction “Trieste to Milano”:
– Go ahead the tollgate “Noventa di Piave” and follow the road signals to Venezia, then go ahead to the Mestre bypass, take the exit “PORTO” and follow the road signals to Venezia.
– Take the Mestre overpass and go on following the road signals to Venezia.
– Cross the “Ponte della Libertà”, causeway connecting Venezia to the mainland.
– At the end of the bridge at the first traffic light turn to your right.
– Go ahead for 200 meters downhill up to the Stop sign. In front of you, you will see the entranceway to the Port of Venice indicated by the sign of the “Autorità Portuale di Venezia – Venezia Terminal Passeggeri S.p.A”.

If you reach the start line from railway station
Drop off to St. Lucia Railway Station (Venice Historical Center), go to the right and walk across the “Costituzione” bridge (Ponte di Calatrava) to arrive at Piazzale Roma, then catch the People Mover that connect P.le Roma to Cruise Terminal station in 3 minutes or walk for 15 minutes to reach the destination. 

If you reach the start line by bus or tram
Drop off to Piazzale Roma, from here you can catch the People Mover that connect P.le Roma to Cruise Terminal station in 3 minutes or walk for 15 minutes to reach the destination.

If you reach the start line by water bus
Catch the line n. 2 and drop off to the Tronchetto stop, then catch the People Mover to arrive in 3 minutes to the destination or walk for 15 minutes.
Bib numbers distribution
Race numbers are assigned progressively.
Material required
For safety reasons it is mandatory to participate wearing a headlamp.
Starting Area
In this area you will find toilets, changing rooms and a storage service
Timing
Evodata is in charge of the timing of the competition.
The timing device (chip) will be attached to the back of your race number and it will record the net time that each athlete will require to complete the course. Detection points will be set along the course.
Timings and ranking tables will be available at any time during the competition on the website www.venicenighttrail.it.
The transponder is disposable so you DO NOT HAVE to give it back after the race.
Along the route

We encourage you to bring everything you will need with you during the race.

At about half of the race course, you will find a refreshment station with San Benedetto water and Palmisano biscuits.

All products delivered will be individually wrapped and the bottles of water will be delivered unopened.

At the refreshment stations our staff will sort you between the various tables, we invite you not to stop except for the strictly necessary time to take the products in order to avoid gatherings.
Maximum Times
You can complete the course at most in 3 hours.
Finish Area
The finish line is in Venice Tronchetto
In this area you will find a storage service, changing rooms with toilets and a refreshment station.
Medical assistance
The organization provides an adequate medical service thanks to the collaboration of local sanitary services.

Course overview

The race course will go into the most typical areas of Venice, crossing fields and small squares of evocative beauty, going as far as the Biennale, and then going up again through Piazza San Marco, the Accademia bridge and Punta della Dogana. From here the athletes will go up the Fondamenta delle Zattere to San Basilio, along the Giudecca Canal, then cross the port area and take the final straight and reach the finish line.

Park in Venice

Close to the start and finish area there will be 1000 parking spaces guaranteed and supervised that you can buy at 5€. (SOLD OUT)

We inform you that on Fridays and Saturdays temporary parking is permitted only for bib collection (maximum one hour) in a dedicated car park.


Alternatively, you can leave your car at Tronchetto Parking, the cheapest parking in Venice! CMP Venice Night Trail, in collaboration with Interparking Tronchetto, offers you the possibility to park your car at a discounted price, with return shuttle service from the car park to the start and finish area of the race. In compliance with all current regulations and above all to continue the green path that we promote in all our events, we ask you to:

  • compact the cars, arriving in Venice at least three per vehicle. You can leave the other cars for free at the San Giuliano Park: Porta Blu, leaving clearly on the dashboard the copy of the confirmation letter which will be the only document certifying your registration (try to use recycled paper!); the parking will be monitored!

If you come with your group on a bus

If you come with a private bus, we have reserved a convenient and free car park 500 meters from the departure.
Remember that to access Venice, private buses must pay the ZTL tax: to take advantage of the discount reserved for the event, print the form and present it at check-in.
